We are Roge and Fernando and we want you to know some things about us. We passionately and creatively document love stories. (It feels so cheesy when I see it written, but it’s true.) And we want you to understand that there are no second chances to get it right, and that we are obsessed with getting it right. This is your wedding, our work will tell your story forever, and we don’t take that lightly. At all.
Fernando has been a photographer his whole life. You could say it runs in his family. His dad is a photographer and began teaching him the trade early. Fernando is unique because he’s both insanely creative and free spirited, but also possesses an unheard-of level of technical knowledge (Thanks, Fernando’s dad!). He once took a stand-up paddle board down a river in the Amazon for 20 days with nothing but a paper map. His curiosity, passion, and willingness to take chances are part of what makes him so good at shooting weddings. He sees the world differently. He’s quick. He’s flexible. He’s so damn good at what he does.
I have not taken a paddle board down any river in the Amazon, but my collaborative, attentive, organized personality makes me the perfect partner, second shooter, and client liaison. I’m a creative at heart. I moved to New York to study dance at the renowned Alvin Alley, fell in love with the city, and never left. Then I fell in love with Fernando. Together we started this business in 2015. This is our craft. We are artisans, small business owners, and creatives. We are careful to only take on a few clients at a time, ensuring that we can collaborate with our couples one-on-one, do our research, and bring a high level of personalization to each wedding. We bring our unique style and approach, but love seeing how each couple changes our art and pushes our style. And If you’re still wondering about how to pronounce Roge, the R is pronounced like an H and the ge is like a French J. You’re likely more confused than ever, now….
